USVI Rugby Partners with Whiskey Business for Weekly Flip Night Fundraiser
July 3, 2026
Whiskey Business Flip Night Flyer

USVI Rugby is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Whiskey Business Bar & Grill to host a weekly Flip Night Fundraiser supporting local rugby development in the territory!

Starting this Thursday, join us at Whiskey Business from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Here's how it works: order an eligible well drink, Crown Blackberry, or Chica Chida Tequila, and call the coin flip (Heads or Tails) before the bartender pours it. If you call it correctly, you get 50% off your drink! Every drink, every round, all night long.

But the best part? Even if you don't call the flip correctly, you are still supporting local rugby! 5% of all sales generated at Whiskey Business during the event hours (7PM - 10PM) will be donated directly to the USVI Privateers Rugby Union. The funds will go toward equipment, travel expenses, youth development programs, and pitch maintenance as we continue building the sport on the islands.

So grab some friends, head down to Whiskey Business this Thursday, and eat, drink, and help support local rugby! We'll see you there!

The Privateers Are Back: USVI Rugby Returns After 10 Years
June 6, 2026
USVI Privateers vs BVI

After nearly a decade of silence, rugby is back in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The USVI Privateers officially returned to competitive play on June 6th, 2026, traveling to Road Town, British Virgin Islands to face the BVI Senior Squad in their first match back.

It was never going to be easy stepping back onto the pitch after 10 years away. The BVI side came out strong, putting up 50 points in the first half to a scoreless Privateers squad still finding their feet. But the second half told a different story. The lads dug in, found their shape, and fought back to put 12 on the board while holding BVI to 19. Progress, pride, and plenty of fire left in the tank.

The Privateers are not here to just show up. They are here to build, grow, and compete. With a rematch against the BVI already on the schedule for July, the squad is training hard and learning fast. The islands have rugby again.
